The collection of the exhibited materials from all over the world is one way of making The Cat Museum as a "Cat Information Centre". Moreover, with a collection in various fields about cats will make the Cat Museum as a centre of meeting place for all researchers and cat lovers from all over the world. They will also be able to do research on cats, based on historical, social and legendary aspects related to human traditions and beliefs. The Cat Museum, can be as a meeting place as well as seminar and international conference venue for cat lovers' clubs from all over the world.
 

Cats of Kuching; at the Cat Museum. This is a Chinese print at Kuching's Cat Museum. Claudia our staff cat agrees with Kuching that felines are true works of art to be admired at museums and purchased at art galleries. She points out, however, that black cats with white bellies and paws are more sought after by collectors and curators.

Sarawak in its rainforests has some rare or extinct species of wild cats such as the Bornean Bay Cat, and you can see these too at the Museum.
